Assalammualaikum wr wb..

For 2009, I've decided to start every entry with quotes where possible. And hopefully will continue to update religiously. I know I've been saying that almost everytime when updating this space of mine but some how it does not materialise. But hopefully this time it will. Insya'allah (If Allah wills). I love writing but does not have the luxury of doing so. Anyways, this time is about making a difference.

Wow ! Such powerful words. How many of us actually have such thoughts ?

Can I make a difference in other peoples' life ? I asked myself. Have I made any difference in other peoples' life ? I asked myself again. Answer to both questions: I have no idea.

All I know is that, there are a few people that makes a difference in my life.

The teachers that taught me in school. Be it circular or religious schools. My parents definitely make a lot of difference in my life. My friends. My Family.

But who else makes a difference in our lives besides these people. No one else ? Are we really sure about that ?

How about OURSELVES ? Aren't we the captain of our own ship; the captain of our own life as a matter of fact. If we can't make a difference in our own life, how are we going to make a difference in other peoples' life ? Hmmmm... Something to ponder upon.

But how do we make a difference in our own life ? LOVE ourselves of course. That's not being selfish. Like a friend of mine always says, "Why think of the person, when the person doesn't think of you. Why cry for the person, when the person doesn't cry for you." This is by Nash. Why such thought ? You may ask.

If we stay negative, people will persive us as one. (This I got to heed my own advice. Still learning to be optimistic / positive about myself). Don't you think so ? So, let's all love ourselves. Make a difference in our own lives. Take control of our own lives before making a difference in other peoples' lives.

From now on, will try to make a difference in MY LIFE and in the lives of others ! !
